Kristiansand has a relatively old cinema (built in the 60's) in the centre of town, but it has the latest sound systems and 7 theatres. All of the movies are sub titled in Norwegian and the cartoon movies are dubbed in Norwegian. The cinema is called the Kristiansand Fonix Kino.
You can book seats by ringing the cinema and you get the first pick of seats. if not, you can just pay when you arrive and try your luck with a good seat. It is a good ide to ring before hand on premiere movie opening nights or for very popular films as tickets can sell out quickly.
