On a daily basis we get emails from people wondering what they can do in a day in Kristiansand. The reason being is that a lot of people arrive in Kristiansand on the ferry and it usually leaves the same night.
So, in a nutshell, this is what I we would recommend for a day trip in Kristiansand.
The port is immediately next to the city centre, so you can walk there eaily within 5 minutes. There is a video here to show you the way.
We would recommed you:
•walk to Fiskerbrygga and have some fish cakes (get them to warm them up) from the market
(but the fishmarket is not open on Sundays!!!)
•take a walk around the city (it is quite small but nice)
•take a walk to Ravnedalen - it is a nice park 10 min from the city centre.
You can get a map from Kristiansand Tourist Office - Rådhusgata. 6 which is not far from the port.
If you ask, someone will help you find it.
Squeeze in a trip to the canon museum if you are interested in WWII history..
If you are interested in a boat trip, you can find some information here.
